Novel image cryptosystem based on new 2D hyperchaotic map and dynamical chaotic S-box

Chaotic systems are widely used in image encryption due to their sensitivity initial values, ergodicity, and other properties; many algorithms based on chaotic have been studied the past few years. To obtain a more secure algorithm, this work firstly proposes new two-dimensional discrete hyperchaotic map, which has wider continuous interval, larger Lyapunov exponents passed all NIST part of TestU01 tests. Then, we apply proposed map generate S-boxes combine them pairs; finally, twelve obtained, elements plaintext grouped, each group pixels is summed, modular operations specify specific S-boxes. Next, set bitwise XOR with corresponding S-box. Finally, cipher obtained by scrambling using signal. Experiments show that compared some algorithms, S-box-based method higher security, it resists common attacks.
